According to the 4th ammendent bag searching is legal because it is a form of protection of the citizens. It is only legal with the consent of the courts, in other words, with a warrent. But because of the way our police officers work in ny, they take anything as a suspession, making the search be a "probable cause". I think its unfair because alot of people could get picked on based on what they look like or their back ground. This is offten very offensive to our citizens. A person should only be checked if they are acting weird or look like they are trying to hide something. Not for just being regular or having a "large bag".

Title: Feds Move To Block 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Injunction

1. This article is about putting a hold on  injunction against enforcement of the military towards homosexual service members.

2.  The policy ("don't ask, don't tell"), against the gays, was voted unconstitutional because it went against gay and lesbian rights.

3. This article is about a U.S. District Judge Virginia Phillips who ruled that the policy "don't ask, don't tell" policy unconstitutional. but because the government was still unsteady,  in Riverside, Calif., federal lawyers asked Phillips, to halt the effect of her own order until they can formally appeal the case to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. On Sept. 9, Phillips ruled that the policy, which completely blocks openly gay or lesbian people from becoming soldiers, violated their First Amendment and Fifth Amendment rights. But even through all that The house of Repesentives voted for a repeal, As well as the senate republicans blocking a vote on this topic.
Not to long after, Defense Secretary, Robert Gates ordered an intimidate end to the policy because to them it would lead to enormous consequences, as well as saying the decision should be left for congress to decide. They are hoping that by the end of December the policy will voluntary be ended.

4. I got this article from http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/10/14/feds-move-to-block-dont-ask-dont-tell-injunction/

5. I don't agree with this articles because i believe that gay men and woman should be able to serve their country and not be judged in any way. They are still human beings, just like everyone else in the military. Therefore it should give them an equal opportunity. " the don't ask, don't tell policy" in a way is wrong because it does violate their rights. Everyone should be treated the same, like I said before.

6.  This article has a lot to do with the world because if we look at society today gay and lesbian groups and people have more of a say. As well as are starting to get somewhat of more respect. They are like us, everyday average joes. We all are the people. Because we have a different taste when it comes to love or being with a person does not mean we are not protected by the U.S constitution. "We The People" means everybody, not just straight people.

Congress would amend the constitution because as the goverentment and itizens increase the needs of the citizens wchange different. As years go by crime rate and the way things flow changes, laws have to be Changed as well. The amendments were created to allow he government to change laws as long as they are constitutional.  The amendment process usually begins when a bill is proposed and apporved by two-thirds of the House of Representatives and Congress.

Federalism is a process in which a two or more governments share power. This Is better because the federalism has the most power. And in every government we need one government to be a bit stronger than the other so that no body has to much power. Without federalism states would make there own laws, as well as do what they pleased. This is wh federalism is a good idea in america.

The U.S Constitution is needed because every government needs a set of rules to follow by. These rules determine the way a government has to work. The Constitution has everything needed to make a goverenment flow correctly, as well a run smooth. Before the Constitution was made/created, there was The Articles Of Confederation. The Articles of Confederation as very weak and failed because each state had it own set of rules, and currency. Also it do no inforce taxes, which lead to no money flowing into the government. Having a Constiution elemimated all the problems that accured. It created compromises like The Great Compromise,Commerce Compromise, and th. 3/5ths Compromise.

I believe that independence from the British king's rule was the only option for the colonists. If the colonists didn't go aganist the king nohing would have changed, and maybe even gotten worse. The Stamp Act, Tea Act, Intolerence Act, Townshead Act, The Proclamation Act, and the battles; such as, the Boston tea party and the Boston massicure, is all what lead to the revolutionary war.

The colonists fighting for their indpendence was there only choice. They wre being punished for things they didn't even do as well as being over taxed. They no longer wanted live in such misery. Enough was enough for them. The way they wanted to live was having ther own form of government. This government would have no king or a controlling leader, it would run by the votes of the citizens.

If they didn't fight for their indepence all of that would have been impossiable. The colonists knowing the king, knew that he would never agree to a compromise, and would still contuine to treat them horriably.

A direct democracy would not work in America because people old have way to much power. A direct democracy is a goverenment in which the people rule all. It's a majority vote for what goes on in the government. If America had a direct democracy there would mostlikely be alot of against things that was going on in government. Every person has their own idea on how the way the people should be governed, different opionions on the way things should go in society. Having a government of that sort in America would be useless because no pawpuld ever get passed, arugements would constantly happen, citizens would go aganist each other because of each others opinions. America is way to big to have a type of govrnment like this. If it was a town or a small contry that would he different. People woul be more civilized and probably come to a decent agreement. America is way to diverise, different cultures and religions, and that right there makes a big difference in any desision making.

A representive democracy is the best for America because people still have a say in government but instead of having so many people sharing their opinion there is one person or a group (parties) that speak for what we believe in. And they come together and make an agrement on what happens. A good example of this is a republic party, they are fore war. They are repesntives for people who share that same idea. Makin it easier to make choices an to decide on the new laws and bills to be passed.
