HW #6 Philosophical Idea
Having a social contract, in some way gave people a sense of protection, even though they gave up a piece of their freedom. Having a government to control and keep the nation is what every country needs. Without a government people could do what ever they wanted with no consequences, which could later lead to chaos. Having a government keeps people from causing chaos because they know there is a "price" to pay if they fail to obey the laws. I agree with this in some way because we do need to know whats right and wrong, and whats good and bad. By having a government and laws shows us exactly that.
